INTRODUCTION TO HONEY BEES FOR ADULTS
Buzz on over to investigate the fascinating lives of Honey Bees. Explore Honey Bee anatomy, life in the hive, and the honey making process. Dismantle a life-sized Langstroth teaching hive to uncover the frames within. Handle the equipment of modern beekeepers and suit up to participate in a hive inspection with one of Friends’ beekeepers.
WHO:
- Adult Individuals
- Maximum number of participants – 5 adults
WHEN & WHERE:
- Tuesday June 25 (rain date: June 26)
- 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (5 hours, with a half hour lunch break… bring a bagged lunch and drink)
- In person at Five Rivers Environmental Center
COST:
- MEMBERS: $40 per person
- NON-MEMBERS: $60 per person
- MATERIALS: $5 per person
