2024 Spring Appeal

Every April, people around the world look to Earth Day as a way of celebrating our planet while highlighting concerning environmental issues. However, at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center, every day is Earth Day as we strive to educate people on the importance of caring for our surroundings and respecting its natural inhabitants.

From our trails to ponds and streams, accessible gardens, and even our green buildings, our hard-working staff and maintenance crew ensures that visitors enjoy the serene surroundings of Five Rivers, while the wildlife remain safe on the more than 450 acres of preserved land.  Furthermore, the Friends of Five Rivers team also works to develop stewards of the environment through well-developed nature programs.

Our Beautiful Day family programming is geared toward 2-8 year old learners and their parents/grandparents to nurture their wonder and appreciation of the natural world.  Our Guided School Program (GSP) engages school-aged students to explore and discover through outdoor science-based lessons, encouraging them to think about the human impact and their role in protecting the environment.

Therefore, our priority is to maintain the beautiful treasure of Five Rivers, while developing educational programs that provide a better understanding of nature, and the connection we all share to the earth.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Friends of Five Rivers, so together, we can build future generations of environmental caregivers who prioritize every day as Earth Day.
