Fall Birdseed Sale Fundraiser

It’s that time of year again! Purchase your birdseed to feed our winged feathered friends throughout the fall and early winter months AND support Friends of Five Rivers at the same time!

WHY:

Support – All proceeds support environmental education programs at Five Rivers through Friends of Five Rivers.
Quality Product – A complete line of Valley Farms products are being offered. Valley Farms is known for mixes made from the highest quality ingredients for attracting all kinds of birds to your habitat.
It’s Convenient – You drive-up and we load the seed into your vehicle. Plus, you receive the freshest seed since it’s order directly from the supplier just for this fundraiser.

TYPES OF SEED:

Super Deluxe – Well-balanced super blend of premium wild bird seed that contains a variety of seed, nuts, dried fruits for any songbird.
Black Oil Sunflower – High oil content. Attracts Cardinals, Chickadees, Titmice.
Nyjer – A finch favorite. Attracts all types including American Goldfinches, Purple Finches, House Finches and Pine Siskins.
Cardinal – Contains striped and black oil sunflower seed, buckwheat, safflower seed.
Chickadee – Contains peanuts and sunflower seed. Chickadee, Titmouse, and Nuthatch will all love this specialty designed mix.
Woodpecker – Packed full of fresh and hearty nutrition for all Woodpecker types.
Safflower – Plump and hearty small white seed. Squirrels and some large birds dislike.
Sunflower Hearts – Totally edible and no clean-up is needed, shell free.

TIMELINES:

Order deadline: All orders must be in and paid for by Tuesday, October 3rd.
Order pick up (TWO DAYS): Friday, October 13 from 3-5 pm; Saturday, October 14 from 10 am-noon (note: all orders must be picked-up on these dates as we are unable to store seed)

NOTE: Costs of seeds are constantly changing. We are trying to keep pricing as reasonable as possible. Again, we appreciate your ongoing support of our Friends of Five Rivers fundraising efforts. Remember that Friends of Five Rivers is the non-profit support arm of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)-owned and operated Five Rivers Environmental Education Center. Our goal, through fundraising efforts such as this, is to support the mission of environmental education and land preservation in partnership with the DEC.
