A Message from Five Rivers Environmental Education Center

In response to the public health emergency for the Covid-19 virus, starting on March 17, 2020 all non-essential State employees for New York State’s agencies and public authorities in every county were instructed not to report to work through the end of the month. This includes staff at Five Rivers. Five Rivers Environmental Education Center’s visitor center and restrooms are closed; programs are cancelled until March 31. The trails are open from sunrise to sunset. If you have any questions, call Five Rivers at 518-475-0291 or email 5Rivers@dec.ny.gov.

CANCELED: Spring "Talk & Trek", March 5-April 2, 2020

Friends of Five Rivers has suspended all public programming until March 31, 2020. This includes the Talk n’ Trek Series. Friends can provide you a pro-rated refund for the program or convert this amount to a charitable contribution and send you a receipt. Please let Nancy Conway know how you would like to proceed at gsp5rivers@outlook.com.

While we can’t geocache together for a little while, you can still walk the beautiful trails here at Five Rivers. The geese are back and trees are budding out - all good signs for the future!
