Nearly every walk here at Five Rivers passes by one of the fourteen beautiful ponds located on the property. Have you ever wondered about the history of these ponds and whether they are healthy or not?
Join a community of adult learners as we discover the answers! Each week, as we walk out to a specific pond, we will discuss its construction, purpose, and age. Then we will investigate its health by sampling the aquatic life and testing the water quality. Participants are asked to dress for the weather, wear sturdy walking shoes that can get muddy, and bring water. Please meet at Five Rivers’ Guided School Program Building located by the gardens.
Time and Dates:
1:30 -3:30 pm on Wednesdays (10/5, 10/12, 10/19). Rain Date: 10/26.
Maximum Participants:
8 Adults
