Calling Volunteers for the Fall Festival!
All the festival activities and more are brought to you by a host of volunteers and DEC staff who have been working diligently all through the year planning this day. This year more than ever volunteers will be needed . If you would like to help please let us know. Send an e-mail to janmessina@nycap.rr.com or Leda Loux at fritd@juno.com or call Five Rivers at 518-475-0295 to let us know how long you can help , what activities you prefer to work in and how we can reach you to confirm the schedule.
We welcome your donations for the bake sale, plant sale and book sale. Gently use books are welcomed but please no text books or encyclopedias. If you donate bake goods, keep in mind that items that can be eaten while walking are most popular.
Wendy Suozzo Memorial Award 2010
In early June, the second Wendy Suozzo Memorial Award was given to Chelsea Gleryic, a graduating senior at Bethlehem Central High School (BCHS). This award was established in 2009 in memory of Wendy Repass Suozzo, who for many years was our Guided School Program Coordinator. Wendy was a lifelong educator with a deep passion for nature. She had a long and productive career as an environmental educator and devoted tremendous energy to the Five Rivers' educational programs, successfully sharing her love of nature with both children and adults alike.
